Have a Break is a short-term family placement service
for children with a disability in the mid west region.
We offer breaks from providing continious care and assistance
for families with children and young people up to 18
years of age, who have disabalities.
Becoming a Host Family
There is no magic ingredient that goes to make a Host
family. They come from all trades and professions. What
is necessary however is commitment and the time to undertake
the task. |

The Value of the
Scheme
The scheme has tremedious value of 3 main levels:
- It provides the child with a holiday and
an opportunity to make new friends.
- It gives the family a well-earned break
from continuous care.
- It gives an opportunity for families in
the community to share their home and their time with
a child with a disability.
