SERVICES
Have A Break offers the following variety
of short breaks:
- Weekends/Mid-week stays
Host families have the child
for several days.
- Overnight placements
The child stays overnight
- Day placements
When a child stays for more
than 3 hours it is considered to be a day placement.
- Half day placements
A half day placement usually
consists of 3 hours or less.

How to Avail of the Service:
The first step is to contact a member of the Have A
Break committee, whose numbers are listed on this website.
They will make an appointment to meet you to discuss
the application process. If you decided to continue
with the process they will send you an application form.
On receipt of your form, your application will be processed
by the committee who will endeavour to source a suitable
host carer/s for your child. When a family has been
identified, you will be contacted and an introductory
meeting with the host family will be arranged.
